A Bridge to Where?

Can you identify where this bridge was? Is it still there? Where was the park it was in. Do you have a photo of it today?

And, what about this park? Seems like it was the 19th centuries version of what we are trying to do today.

What goes around, comes around.

Ayuh.

  1. Isn't Arbutus Park the former Camp Robinson Crusoe, which is located on the former OSV parcel recently acquired by the town and MassWildlife. Having walked this piece a couple times, I can't say I remember seeing this bridge, but it's pretty overgrown too.

    Thanks again for your blog!

  2. Carol, you are correct! I am not sure if the bridge is still there, but i remember seeing another old postcard of a carriage on a small road in the park. I believe there was a bridge in the photo, and it was along a pond. Now, there are some clues for you to use on an explore! Funny how what was once a park is once again becoming one.
