The Town Hall/Center Office Building Committee will meet on Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 7:00 PM in Veteran’s Memorial Hall of the Town Hall to discuss the following:
1) Meeting Minutes
2) OPM Update
3) Architect Update
4) Punch List/Warranty Item Update
5) Technology Update
6) New Business
7) Old Business

ReplyDeleteIf anyone in the know felt like explaining what happened, they would have by now.
ReplyDeleteThey don't know what happened. The review of the plans was done, but the law was overlooked, and should not have been. They assumed it would be fine since so much was done to bring the current building up to ADA code. No much more thought was put on it from the towns pint of view, but the architect should have known much better. It can be fixed. Going to the meeting and asking what happened, what now, and what next should be done.

It seems that, when they were planing the project, the building committee for the town hall and center school renovation project had spoken about the front doors and they are the ones who decided that they wanted to keep the "historical" look rather than make the doors handicap compliant.
