The Mexican decor, including the beautifully painted, highly glossed tables, made you feel good as soon as you got the first peek into the dining room. The staff was warm and friendly, and we felt right at home. The owner came to the table and greeted us. We were brought 2 complimentary bowls of corn chips and salsa, and extra salsa after we finished what had already been a generous amount. The total time from getting out of the car to being served our entrees was 30 minutes. The food, six big plates full, plus two delicious desserts, larger than expected in size, was fabulous. We all thought that the total tab of $106 (entrees, beverages, and desserts) was very fair, for the good food, warm, friendly atmosphere, and caring service we received. A member of the staff stood outside the dining room to thank us for coming and chatted easily as one would when saying his good-byes to good friends. Thanks, Playa Del Carmen for such a pleasant and comfortable afternoon with our family! We will be back.Oh, it's so good!noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1377411732843394854.post-88751990925696982562010-03-13T08:22:07.911-05:002010-03-13T08:22:07.911-05:00I went there on Thursday night and the food was go...I went there on Thursday night and the food was good (I'd have to agree that the guac is addictive). I think that the resturant still has some bugs to work out but it's a great addition to Stubridge.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1377411732843394854.post-6613116605853256542010-03-12T22:05:46.256-05:002010-03-12T22:05:46.256-05:00I had lunch with a friend there today. I have read all the reviews on the recently opened restaurants. They will surely have to meet the standards of Applebee's, Annie's Country Kitchen, Uno's Pizza & Picaddily Pub (who have been around for a good while) if they want to survive. Prices and Portions is all that matters in this tough economy. Good Luck to all of you.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1377411732843394854.post-92084915372206399352010-03-11T21:17:04.830-05:002010-03-11T21:17:04.830-05:00Tom, I agree. And, to clarify, it was "Fajitas for Two", not two fajitas.Wally Herseehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11052949223548827269noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1377411732843394854.post-75378976834541765902010-03-11T19:13:14.856-05:002010-03-11T19:13:14.856-05:00Wally, my wife and I, along with some friends were...Wally, my wife and I, along with some friends were there Saturday evening. It was a great experience. Yes there was a wait and yes the food took a little longer than expected to arrive, but it was fresh, very authentic, and delicious. It provided a warm and friendly environment to enjoy time with friends.Reconciliohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03062430343428782386noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1377411732843394854.post-61029819756771474582010-03-11T18:30:12.590-05:002010-03-11T18:30:12.590-05:00Well, I could bear the wait with a nice margarita ...Well, I could bear the wait with a nice margarita (or two) but was sad to hear about the "way over priced" - faitas for two at $27 does sound steep. But I'll give it a try at least once anyways. BrianAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
